Previously, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) on its website announced that two suspected cases in central Virginia and one case in northern Virginia met “both clinical and epidemiologic criteria for 2019-nCoV,” or the novel coronavirus that was first reported in the Chinese city of Wuhan, likely beginning at an animal and seafood market. But in an updated announcement provided to Fox News on Monday, health officials said the two cases in central Virginia were negative following confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Results for the third case in northern Virginia are pending and are expected later this week.
